Flu Season Reminder: Stay Protected!

As flu season approaches, don’t forget to take care of your health! The CDC recommends that most people get their annual flu vaccine during September or October. Pinnacle Institute does not provide flu vaccinations, so students should contact their healthcare provider or a local vaccination provider to schedule their flu shot. Stay healthy, stay protected, and take care of yourself this flu season!

Welcome to our October newsletter! We had a lot of fun putting this Halloween-themed edition together. Inside, you’ll find updates on our new rooms at the Deming campus, our visit to Silver High School’s career fair, and our Student of the Month, Daniel Castaneda! Keep Your Dental Team Current & Compliant!

Pinnacle Institute is offering four essential Dental Continuing Education courses all in one convenient day on October 30, 2026. Designed for dental professionals looking to stay current, compliant, and prepared, the training includes Basic Life Support (BLS), OSHA & HIPAA Compliance, Infection Control Jurisprudence, and Radiation Health & Safety. With open enrollment, participants can choose the session that best fits their needs or complete all four courses in one day for a comprehensive continuing education experience.

Enrollment is open now, with registration due by October 23, 2026.

We want to congratulate our student of the month: Daniel Castaneda

Help us congratulate our student of the month for October, Daniel Castaneda, from our pharmacy technician program. He has always been interested in how a pharmacy works, and we were fortunate enough to provide him with that experience and help him obtain his PTCB, with the hope of one day ending up in a hospital setting. He is an avid golfer, self-taught too, and loves to play with his wife as well!

Something New in Deming!

With Halloween looming, we know this might look a little like the Backrooms… but don’t be fooled! If you’ve attended classes at our Deming campus before, you may notice something very different. We’ve officially moved from our single-room space into a brand-new four-room facility! This is an exciting milestone for Pinnacle Institute and gives us so much more room to grow. Our new space includes a main classroom, dedicated testing room, administration office, and a laboratory equipped with phlebotomy chairs. With the additional space, we’ll be able to accommodate more classroom activities, hands-on exercises, and testing while creating a better learning environment for our students.

The space is still getting that Pinnacle touch, and we’ll be working over the coming weeks to make it feel welcoming and comfortable for everyone who walks through our doors. We’re incredibly excited about this new opportunity and everything it will allow us to do in Deming. We can’t wait to welcome our current, future, and returning students into our new space!

The Backrooms may be creepy, but our new Deming campus is anything but!

Viviana Navarro

Hi everyone! My name is Viviana, but you can call me Vivi! I’m 32 years old and have been part of the Pinnacle family for five years. I am the admissions advisor. Before joining Pinnacle, I worked as a dental assistant, and I’ve enjoyed continuing to learn and grow throughout my career.

I may not have children of my own, but I’m lucky enough to be a bonus mom to three amazing little girls who keep life fun and full of love! My partner and I have been together for 11 years! Family means everything to me, and some of my favorite moments are the ones spent making memories with the people I love.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me traveling, cooking up something delicious, or out trying to catch a fish! I love exploring new places, spending time in nature, and making the most of life’s little adventures.

I’m grateful to be part of the Pinnacle team and so thankful to be recognized as part of this newsletter’s staff introduction for October! It’s been an amazing five years, and I look forward to continuing to grow, make a difference, and be part of such a great team.

Connecting with Future Healthcare Professionals

Pinnacle Institute was excited to visit Silver City, NM, and participate in the career fair at Silver High School! We had the opportunity to meet with students, discuss our healthcare training programs, and share an alternative to the traditional college path for those looking to enter the medical field through focused, career-oriented training. Events like these are important to us because today’s students are the future of healthcare. We loved meeting so many young, curious minds and sharing the opportunities available through Pinnacle Institute. And for students interested in continuing their education with us, our Deming campus is conveniently located not far from Silver City! A special thank you to Silver High School for inviting us to be part of this wonderful event. We truly enjoyed connecting with your students and would be happy to return for future career fairs and community events. We hope to see some of the faces we met at Pinnacle Institute in the future!
