Coronal Polishing: the goal if this course is to prepare students to take the DANB exam and be licensed in the state of New Mexico. Learn proper technique on removal of plaque and stain from the crown portion of the tooth. Assistants will learn fulcrum techniques, how to identify intrinsic and extrinsic staining, contraindications for coronal polishing, ethics, law, infection control, and armamentarium. 

Pitt, Fissure, & Sealant: learn the theory and application of pit and fissure sealants procedures in theory and with clinical practice. Course topics and procedures include: tooth morphology, dental anatomy, medical emergencies, ethics, law, and armamentarium, and infection control during procedures. Prerequisites are, dental Assistant must be employed with A dentist for two continuous years and be able to sign documentation. Goal is to be prepared to take the DANB exam and be licensed in the state of New Mexico.

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Training Course: Learn the instruments, proper terminology, and hands on methods to assist in an Orthodontist specialty practice. This 3-day course gains you 12 PACE Continuing Education credits

Topical Fluoride: you will be prepared to display sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge for the application of topical fluoride and be able to competently apply topical fluoride to adult & child patients under prescription from the dentist. Also gain knowledge of all history and science behind fluoride as well as how city and state utilize water fluoridation. The course goal is to be prepared to take the DANB exam and be licensed in the state of New Mexico.
